Head of working group Public Health Nutrition Kurt Gedrich
Since 2019, Prof. Dr. Kurt Gedrich is head of the Research Group Public Health Nutrition at the ZIEL - Institute for Food & Health of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
After having studied Home Economics ("Ökotrophologie") from 1987 to 1993, Kurt Gedrich received a Ph.D. degree in Nutrition Economics in 1996, and the university teaching credentials ("Venia Legendi") for Nutritional Behavior in 2006.
He was involved in launching and conducting several regional, national and European nutrition surveys and has been contributing to the German Nutrition Reports for more than 20 years.
In 2012, Kurt Gedrich joint Prof. Daniel's team at the chair of Nutrition Physiology and switched his research focus to Personalized Nutrition.
His major competences are in the fields of Nutrition and Health Behavior, Public Health Nutrition, Nutritional Epidemiology, Nutrition Optimization, and Biostatistics.
